AccuTrak AT100 High Accuracy Magnetostrictive Level Transmitter

The AT100 is Based Upon the Magnetostrictive Principle. The Sensing Tube Contains a Wire, which is Pulsed at Fixed Time Intervals and the Interaction of the Current Pulse with the Magnetic Field Created by the Magnetic Float. This Causes a Torsional Stress Wave to be Induced in the Wire. This Torsion Propagates Along the Wire at a Known Velocity from the Position of the Magnetic Float and Toward Both Ends of the Wire. A Patented Piezo-Magnetic Sensing Element Placed in the Transmitter Assembly Converts the Received Mechanical Torsion into an Electrical Return Pulse. The Microprocessor-Based Electronics Measures the Elapsed Time Between the Start and Return Pulses and Converts it into a 4-20 mA Output, which is Proportional to the Level Being Measured.

Using this new format K-TEK has been able to add waveform screens to the modular electronics along with easy to follow multiple choice setup menus. These menus can be changed to many different languages for easy commissioning throughout the world. MT5000 Series Guided Wave Radar transmitters provide superior performance in tough applications. Pulses of microwave energy are directed to the product surface using a rigid rod or flexible cable type probe. This assembly has no moving parts and no loss of energy due to beam divergence. Multiple coupler and probe types are available to accommodate applications such as knock out drums, feed water heaters, production vessels and separators. 316L stainless steel is the standard probe material however materials such as Hastelloy C-276 and Monel are available for use in acidic or caustic services.

Resonator RS85 Multi-option Vibrating Liquid Level Switch

The Resonator utilizes a piezoelectric driven tuning fork that exhibits a large change in resonant frequency when immersed in any liquid. A "smart" microprocessor-based electronic unit keeps the sensor in a resonant state as it changes from dry to wet or wet to dry. The resonant frequency is continuously monitored for changes created by a wet or dry sensor and an alarm is provided via relay. The RS85 should be used when the application requires optional process connections, exotic materials of construction, coatings, finishes or adjustable time delay and density set point.

AT200 Valve Positioner

The AT200 Valve Positioner is a compact, high accuracy valve position transmitter that uses K-TEK’s patented Magnetostrictive sensing technology. In the valve positioning application, the transmitter is bolted to the yoke of the actuator with two (2) mounting brackets that are supplied with the transmitter. A third bracket is secured to the stem connector. This bracket holds the magnet that provides the signal to the transmitter.

KSONIK™ I Short Range Ultrasonic Level Transmitter

The KSONIK™ I is an Ultrasonic Level Transmitter capable of measuring liquid level or solid applications up to 50 ft. / 15 meters or flow rates in all types of open channel flow applications. The transmitter has a single 4-20 mADC analog output and three (3) relay outputs. A transducer is fitted to the top of a silo or tank, facing down towards the material being measured. The transmitter’s microprocessor simultaneously fires an electronic pulse to the transducer and starts a timer. The transducer converts this electronic pulse to an acoustic pulse, which is directed toward the surface of the material being measured. When the acoustic pulse contacts the surface of the material, energy is reflected back to the transducer, which converts this reflected energy back to an electronic pulse. This pulse is sent back to the microprocessor, which stops the timer and determines the “time of flight” of the signal. By combining the speed of sound through air and the “time of flight” of the pulse, the microprocessor accurately determines the level of the product. Powerful software removes false echoes from the signal and electronic filters remove ambient noise.

The KSONIK™ MICRO Ultrasonic Level Transmitter or Switch is designed to measure liquid (32 ft. / 10 m) and bulk solids (10 ft. / 3 m) levels. The range can be configured by the keyboard and display. The MICRO is mounted on top of the vessel or tank. The microprocessor in the MICRO fires an electronic pulse that the transducer converts into an acoustic pulse. The pulse travels to the level that is being measured and is reflected back to the transducer. The transducer then converts the energy back into an electronic signal and stops the counter in the microprocessor, which then knowing the speed of sound through the air, can accurately determine the distance. The powerful software removes false echoes and the electronic filter removes ambient noise.

The unit is available with two 4-20 mADC analog and five (5) relay outputs. A system can consist of up to two transducers and a single transmitter with the transducer(s) installed at the top of a silo or tank, facing down towards the material being measured. The transmitter’s microprocessor simultaneously fires an electronic pulse to the transducer and starts a timer. The transducer converts this electronic pulse to an acoustic pulse, which is directed toward the surface of the material being measured. When the acoustic pulse contacts the surface of the material, energy is reflected back to the transducer, which converts this reflected energy back to an electronic pulse.
